Password Generator
Choose random characters or a word-based passphrase, and generate it with secure browser randomness.
Generated password
Review the settings, then generate a password.
How to use
Choose random characters or a passphrase, set your options, then generate. The character mode includes every selected type at least once; the passphrase mode draws each word independently from the EFF's public word list (7,776 words).
Generated securely in your browser
Your settings and generated password are never sent to a server or stored. The passphrase word list is also bundled as a static file in your browser.

Choose a mode
Use a character password or switch to a passphrase built from words.
- 2
Set the options

Secure randomness
Generation uses the browser's cryptographic random-number API rather than Math.random.
Character coverage
When possible, the result includes at least one character from every enabled group.
Strength indicator
The label is an estimate and cannot account for reuse, phishing, leaks, or how a service stores passwords.
Passwords are generated locally
Settings and generated values stay in the browser and are not sent to or stored on this site's server.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if every character group is disabled?
Generation is blocked until at least one character group is enabled.
Is a longer password always better?
Length usually increases resistance to guessing, provided the value is random and not reused.
Should I save the generated password in this page?
No. Store it in a trusted password manager; this tool does not provide an account vault.
